Who are we? An Ashram in ancient India was a Hindu hermitage headed by a religious leader or mystic where sages lived in peace and tranquillity amidst nature. Today, the term ashram is used to refer to an intentional community formed primarily for the spiritual upliftment of its members. Some live in one of our villages where we offer refuge to those in need , others live in their community but they are all Interdenominational volunteers of every caste , creed , religion, colour and persuasion who commit themselves to living ethically, supporting those less fortunate and abandoning greedy and selfish behaviour with an Absolutely Inter-Denominational, Inter-Cultural, & Holistic Attitude. None of our members from the CEO to those who serve our guests receive any salary or any other benefit other than sustenance, education and accommodation. Our CEO Mr Barrington Roy Schiller has spent the last
40 years with a major focus on establishing global peace and understanding
with unity amongst all mankind, promoting peace through cultural
understanding. He has been responsible for thousands of children and adults
living as part of a family in a foreign country and for education programmes
which brought both the host and the guest a better understanding of each
other’s country, cultures and morals. In 2010 Barrington formed 50 groups
around the world under the name “Noblesse Oblige in Action” to symbolise the
obligation of those with more to be honourable and generous to those less
fortunate. Today he lives almost as a recluse in a modest home in the
British countryside when not at one of our villages. We would like to record here our gratitude and thanks for the contributions of the members as well as its wishers. Without such cooperation and generosity, we would not have been able to achieve what we have during our years of successful and productive work for the causes we have committed ourselves to. We always need volunteers:- Construction workers Child care professionals Occupational therapists Educators Lawyers Whatever you do Recruiters |
